Girl, Get After It! — CLAIRE CRAIG

Guys, I made a friend online! Her name is Cass from The Wellness Rookie. We connected on social media over our mutual love of Montana. (Cass lives in beautiful Bozeman, and I grew up about an hour away!) But, we have more in common than our excellent taste in states. I really admire her balanced approach to wellness. I am a huge believer in the power you gain by living a healthy lifestyle, but doing it in a sustainable, tailored-to-you way. The Wellness Rookie sent me this cute hat with her motto: girl, get after it.

On her blog Cass says: "I realized there was a serious lack of community in the health and wellness world after struggling to find a group of women I truly connected with. No one wanted to talk about the issues that actually mattered. No one wanted to get together and do something nourishing for our bodies. And no one had the drive to get after what it really means to be healthy. So, instead of searching for a squad, I created one. It's a movement for the girl squad everywhere; connecting women all across the world through one simple hashtag to talk about real issues, relate to real problems and actually do something about it. Because when shit gets real, we get after it."

Social media can be ugly and mean. But, it also has this incredible power to connect people, empower others, and create supportive communities. I am working to surround myself with people who lift me up and inspire me. And that includes Cass! I am so proud to be part of Casses' squad. Girl, get after it!

Hopefully Cass and I can meet in person someday, but until then, I'll be following her online and getting inspired!
